1st place at All-Star cheerleading competition

Baskervilles Allstars cheerleading squad celebrated finishing in an incredible 1st place at their first ever All-Star cheerleading competition held in Cardiff this weekend.

Baskervilles Allstars attended Legacy Cheer and Dance regionals held at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff and came away champions in the Level 1 Large Division. The squad put out a fabulous performance and came away with zero deductions on their scoresheet which is a phenomenal achievement.

Coach Amy Hartnell-Saunders says ‘I am incredibly proud of the routine the girls performed, they did it with confidence and smiles on their faces. You would never know this was their first time at such a big event!’

The cheerleading squad based at Baskervilles Gymnastics Club train once a week and have enjoyed learning the fundamentals of All-star cheerleading. All-star cheerleading is where a team of cheerleaders perform a two and a half minute routine which includes an array of stunts, gymnastics tumbling, jumps and dance. It is a high energy and athletic sport which requires strength, flexibility and teamwork. The team are excited to get back in the gym and work on new stunts and skills to ensure they are ready for next competition season.
